The photographers are not selling a product, but they are selling a promise. It is very true that trust is the single most important part of wedding photography. If you do not trust your wedding photographer, then there is no point in hiring him/her.

If you are always and continuously worrying about the photographers with the doubts such as whether they are getting good shots; taking enough pictures; do all of us look good?, etc then you are not living in the present. When you let the suspicions about the photographer go the imagery becomes much more confidant, because you are no more thinking about it the whole time. You should not worry. If you are being primped and prompted at every turn, you will not be able to enjoy your wedding day, as a result the photos will also reflect that mood.

It is important that you have to be comfortable enough in front of your photographer and trust him/her to document that in a beautiful way. After all, you need not have to look good every second of the day. But you just have to trust that wedding photographers are artists and thereby trust their vision of your most important and memorable day.

You have to accept the truth; it is impossible for you to control every thing yourself. Trust is very much closely related to giving up your hold on others. If you entrust a wedding photographer with a very long of a to-do list, it will distract him/her from what you hired them to do in the first place: shoot spontaneous, once-in-a-lifetime moments that cannot be predicted, and therefore, could never be included on a list. The wedding photographers do not want to think about all those expectations; they only like to tell the story.

Another major thing expected from you is your coordination with other creative vendors.. Many brides and grooms often do not think about coordinating the styles of all other creative professionals they have hired to cover their wedding. Ensure all the creative individuals you are employing are on the same level. If you like your photographers because they are behind the scenes, and that is the reason you hired your photographer, then make sure that approach is going to be applicable to your videographer too.

If the videographer has a style that involves a lot of direction like making you put on your dress five times, that may not create the best situation for a wedding photographer who does not take any staged shots. The creative professionals need not be able to work together, but they should all have a shared understanding of how the day is going to unfold. Ask your vendors direct questions about their process. Let all your other vendors know about your photographer’s style; so that they will not be interrupting or trying to pose shots for him/her.
